Biscuit Boy put a lump in my throat and chill bumps on my arms. Such a touching story and so memorable. Great character building. I felt like I knew each character. Congratulations Jamie, on a great story.

Very well done, Ms. Wilson. You really gave the flavor of a place and a lifestyle that was unknown to me. What, in other hands, could have simply been a modern-lit tale of angst you made into a very real and engaging story about choice, consequence, and even duty. Some very beautiful imagery and your character of Helen was lovely: an older woman who was wise, yet realistic about the world and its ways. For me, the allure of that was, again, you turned away from what have become the approved tropes of modern fiction to present someone new and compelling.
