Interesting story of a possible future that ends on a nice beat. Seems like there should be a follow up, but maybe it says all it needs to.

Wow. Great short story. It left me wondering what else happened, or will happen, in that world. I could see this being the premise for a larger work, maybe how that kitten got aboard the ship, its mission, etc., or whatever that guy did with the knowledge he gained. Maybe even a tour guide who takes folks around the remains of Washington.

The artwork for this story is excellent. So is the premise - people in the distant (maybe?) future who explore space junk for a hobby. Doesn't seem that far-fetched, either. Folks already scour the oceans for shipwrecks. The only bad part is the story leaves you wanting to know more about the world that could be.
