Woke up, was it Chelsea mourning
Was that the first thing that I heard?
Was it a bimbo in the bedroom
Did Bill really say those words
Was there bundling up of cash in wads
The selling of my soul for funds?

No, she can't stay
We'll put on faces
And we'll wear 'em 'til the vote comes

Woke up, it was Chelsea mourning
And the first thing that I saw
Was a blue dress on the nightstand
And handprints on the wall
Subpoena served to welcome you
Inventions with which to reckon

No, she can't stay
We'll put on faces
There's a lie to tell every second

Now the curtain opens on the studios of Today
And the voters are glued to TV screens
And Clintons lie
And papers lie
Living to fabricate

Woke up, it was Chelsea mourning
But the first thing that I knew
There was a Senate seat in New York
And a Cabinet Seat, too
And the cash poured in like cattle stocks
And we evaded all Bill's wenches

No, she can't stay
We'll put on faces
And we'll lie in all the tenses

When the election's over
And the White House runs away
I will bring you cocktails
Molotovs by night
By candlelight
By daylight
No Bill she can't stay
Please visit me in jail
Wake up, it's Chelsea mourning
