About Ted GrossClose
Born & raised in NYC, I moved to Jerusalem in 1978. Though my formal education was in Philosophy & Teaching (BA for each) and an MA in Jewish History, I was always writing. I first began serious writing in University where I wrote a series of Editorials for the Univ. Newspaper. After coming to Israel, I authored two children's books which were published and still sell. I also wrote a few non-fiction pieces in the field of comparative religion for various journals (some of which were picked up by a publisher and subsequently published in various anthologies). I continued writing throughout the years and had various short stories published (the art of writing a short story is a love of mine), and then published in a collection "Ancient Tales, Modern Legends". I have also had two non-fiction pieces published in CrossCurrents.

Additionally, I also taught myself computers back in the day when CPM and DOS were the basics, and made a career of being a CTO for various high-tech companies in Israel. I am still on the edge of high-tech in Virtual World Technology but pursue my dreams of writing,

Over the years I ran quite a few blogs, two of which became fairly famous - "Cobwebs Of The Mind" & "Help! I Have A Fire In My Kitchen" the latter having won quite a few awards in its day.

I served for 28 years in the reserve forces in Israel as a battlefield medic, and this journey took me through four wars. The last of which led to the short story "A Tapestry Of War" and also as of yet, a non-published non-fiction book "Three Weeks In Jenin" which is about Operation Defensive Shield and the battles that took place in Jenin.

Though it has been a full and certainly interesting life, never going as planned but teaching me quite a few lessons along the way, I am always looking to break that next barrier. I am currently working on a second collection of short stories, some non-fiction pieces and a novel.
