I was born in Burke County, North Carolina in 1950. After college and law school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and marrying my wife Deborah, whom I met on a blind date, I accepted a job at a law firm in Northeast Tennessee. 39 years later, I am still at it. I have written stories since I was a teen. Most of them are base loosely on my life experience. But there is a definite science fiction or supernatural component to many of them. My practice includes a lot of business and employment law and litigation, so writing is a pleasant diversion. My beautiful wife is very supportive of my writing, but not so much of my politics. I am the oldest of five children, and my family relationships still define me. I am hooked on Netflix, ESPN3, and Carolina football.
