David Skinner deliberately became a writer when he was twelve. He has never been prolific or ambitious. He wrote what he wrote and was as surprised as anyone when Simon & Schuster published some of his books in the 1990s. Unsure what to do afterwards, and after writing some stories here and there, he planned and composed his novel "The Giant's Walk," which was completed and self-published in 2014. He continues his unambitious efforts to market himself. Fortunately he has always had a day job and considers writing to be a Pursuit of Art and not of Wealth; otherwise he'd be very poor and hungry.
