Allison Barrows is the creator of the syndicated comic strip PreTeena and the author/illustrator of numerous books. Her musical based on the strip, Beauty and the Geek, made its professional debut in May 2013.

She is currently collaborating with her husband, illustrator Romas, on The Roadhouse Sons graphic novel series based on the novels of J. H. Sanderson. The husband-wife team handle all the writing, drawing, painting, digital painting, production, and publishing. Their daughter, Alex, a recent B.A. and graduate school Fine Art candidate, is the digital assistant and colorist. They were exhibitors at NYC Comic Con 2013, and will be promoting the books at other events and cons in Boston, Baltimore, D.C., Philadelphia, Manchester, and New York throughout 2014 and 2015.

Allison's new illustrated children's book, Maynard May Not, will be published in early December 2014.
