"Mike Baron writes like the bastard offspring of James Crumley and Rex Miller, in prose so hardboiled you'll break a tooth." -- Jeff Mariotte is the former editor-in-chief of IDW Comics, and author of horror novels and thrillers including 7 Sykos, Missing White Girl, and River Runs Red.
"Mike Baron is like Quentin Tarantino on paper." -- Kevin J. Anderson is the New York Times best selling author of the Dune series as well as his own space-spanning series such as The Saga of Shadows and The Saga of Seven Suns.
"Mike Baron writes like he's thirty minutes ahead of us every step of the way. He's sending pop culture references and political perspective to us wrapped in bone-cracking action tales paced at ballistic speed. His people are real which makes the mayhem real. He bends prose to his will and makes you love every page. There is no one else writing with a voice as wild and different and strong as this samurai wordsmith. His newest creation, Josh Pratt, pushes him even further out on the ragged edge of genre action fiction. Josh joins the Baron pantheon of entirely unique, fully-realized characters that touch something in he reader's heart and mind but continually offer surprise. This is not the Same Old Thing. Oh, the crazy-crazy, frenetic punch-ups are all here. Trust me on that. But so is Baron's gift to make us laugh, snort and question our own reality." -- Chuck Dixon is the award-winning writer of Clinton Cash: the Graphic Novel, and a prolific comic writer notable for long runs on Batman and The Punisher.
"Biker hits you like a knuckleduster to the teeth. The prose is tough, tight, and totally entertaining. Josh Pratt is my kind of private eye--Biker tough, always relentless, and the instincts of a killer." --Paul Bishop, author of Lie Catchers
"They say a tiger can't change its stripes, and with Mike Baron's character Josh, that's partially true. Josh has been hardened by life on the street, as well as behind bars. But he's got a new mission now. And when a courageous, struggling comics writer and artist begins receiving death threats, Josh seems like the only man to whom she can turn. Is she more than the crime-wise Josh has bargained for? There's certainly more to this red-headed comics bohemian, than initially meets Josh's eye. If you loved Jimmy from Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead, or Keaton from The Usual Suspects, you will instantly find Josh both enjoyable, and compelling. This is a terrific ride of a story that pulls no punches." -- Brad Togersen, Hugo, Nebula, and John W. Campbell nominated writer.
